Over the years my artful pursuits have taken a very unconventional path. From an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science to five years in the finance industry, it took me a decade to realize that I am my happiest self when I create. What was originally a recreational escape from the grind of academic and corporate existence is now an essential part of who I am and who I strive to become.
My work is largely inspired by my time spent in the beautiful and mythic realm of West Texas and how my experiences traveling through the seemingly endless desert often bordered on the surreal. I maintain a light and whimsical style counter to the ominous subject matter by layering vibrant acrylic paint over endlessly hopeful canvas, creating spirited, dreamlike scenes.
